The read

## What Stack does

Ramp announced Stack on June 3, 2026, which is the date to hold in mind when reading anything about it. The product connects to QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct and spreadsheets, then runs agents that read and write across them: reconciliations, recurring schedules, journal entries, accruals and variance analysis. The unit of work is a Skill, a repeatable playbook described in plain English, such as reconciling a Stripe clearing account against the general ledger. A Skill is written once and applied to other clients that share the same pattern. Each run leaves a session audit log of what the agent looked at and what it changed, and work queues for a human to approve before it reaches the ledger.

The firms with the least to explain here are ones already standardised on Ramp for cards and bill pay, where the vendor relationship, the security review and the transaction data are in place. The trial request form asks for firm name, website and number of clients served, and separates accountants serving multiple clients from in-house finance teams, so Ramp is clearly triaging by book of business rather than opening the door to everyone. A practice whose clients sit on Xero has a harder time: Xero appears nowhere in the named integrations, on the product page or in the launch post, and that is a real gap for bookkeeping-led firms in the 2 to 50 range.

The larger problem is that nothing about the commercial terms is public. Ramp's pricing page lists the card plans, Free, Plus at $15 per user per month plus a platform fee, and Enterprise, and does not mention Stack at all. The performance claims, up to 60% faster closes and outperforming general-purpose models across a benchmark of 200-plus accounting tasks, come from Ramp. The customer stories page carries no Stack case study, and the two named early users in the launch post, Decimal and Specialized Accounting, are quotes rather than documented engagements.

Truewind is the closer comparison for a firm shopping today, with a Sage Intacct marketplace partnership and named CPA firms behind it. Talisman publishes a price, $35 per client per month, which at least lets a ten-client bookkeeping practice model the spend. Numeric aims at in-house controllers rather than firms.

The inherited one-to-watch tier holds. Ramp is not a risky vendor, and its SOC 2 Type II, MFA and SSO through Okta, Google and Microsoft are documented. Stack itself is a three-month-old product with no published price, no Xero support and no firm reference to check. That is exactly the profile of something worth a trial and not worth a busy season.

Pricing, security, integrations

## What it costs and what it connects to

Ramp does not publish a price for Stack; it is quoted per firm, usually on firm size or entity count.

Stack holds a SOC 2 Type 2 report, multi-factor authentication is available, SAML single sign-on is supported.

Stack connects to QuickBooks, NetSuite and Sage Intacct. Supporting more than one ledger matters for firms whose clients are split across them.

Beyond that: Spreadsheets.

Our rating

## Why we rate Stack a One to Watch

Stack is rated One to Watch, alongside 3 other of the 11 month-end close automation tools in this directory.

Early or unproven at firm scale. Often genuinely interesting technology without the track record, support depth, or install base to bet a busy season on yet.
