## What Xenett does

Reviewing a file is the job Xenett was built around. It runs over 50 checks across the profit and loss and balance sheet at account level, flagging duplicate entries, misclassified GL activity, uncategorised transactions, AR and AP problems and undeposited funds, then lets the reviewer fix them with bulk reclassification instead of clicking through the ledger. Firms add their own review points for things a generic check will not catch, attach workpapers at GL level, and leave internal comments that stay off the client's view. A browser extension puts the same checks alongside QuickBooks Online and Xero, so a preparer does not have to leave the ledger. Around that sits a close checklist with substeps, review checkpoints, time estimates and sign-offs, and on the higher plan a full workflow layer with projects, capacity planning, time tracking, 1099 management and Gmail or Outlook integration.

The pricing is the strongest argument for a small firm. AI Financials Review is $7.50 per client per month, the Workflow plan is $10, users are unlimited on both, and a 14-day trial needs no card. A twenty-client bookkeeping practice is looking at $200 a month for review plus workflow with as many staff logins as it needs, which is a different order of spend from per-seat practice management. Add-ons for accruals automation at $15 and intercompany reconciliation at $10 per client are priced separately and free for the first 60 days at firm level.

The trade-off is depth on the practice management half. Xenett's close and review tooling is specific and well thought through, while the workflow, capacity and email features read as adequate rather than competitive with a dedicated system, which is why it ranks lower in that category. Ledger coverage stops at QuickBooks Online and Xero, so no Sage Intacct and no NetSuite. Corporate transparency is thin: no headquarters, country of incorporation or founding year appears anywhere on the site, and nothing is dated beyond a 2026 copyright line. The security position is also inconsistent. The homepage states SOC 2 Type II Certified, while the security policy page itself describes only AWS being certified under various ISO and SOC standards, alongside TLS 1.2 and 1.3 in transit and AES-256 at rest. A firm should ask for the report before assuming Type 2.

Truewind covers similar ground with more reconciliation depth and Sage Intacct support, and costs materially more with no published price. XBert monitors continuously rather than at review time, but its check library is weighted toward Australian compliance and a US firm gets a smaller subset. Talisman is narrower and five times the price per client.

Strong-option in close automation is kept, and the practice-management rating of one-to-watch stays too. The published pricing, the US and Canada AWS hosting, and the specificity of the review checks support the tier. The unnamed company behind it and the SOC 2 wording are what keep it off a top pick.

## What it costs and what it connects to

Xenett starts at $7.5 per client/month (Workflow plan $10 per client per month; Accruals AI and inter-company reconciliation are $15 and $10 per client per month add-ons). Pricing is per client, per month. A free trial is available: 14 days, no card.

Xenett holds a SOC 2 Type 2 report, data can be hosted in US or Canada.

Xenett connects to QuickBooks Online and Xero. Supporting more than one ledger matters for firms whose clients are split across them.

Beyond that: Google Drive, OneDrive, SharePoint, Gmail and Outlook.

Our rating

## Why we rate Xenett a Strong Option

Xenett is rated Strong Option, alongside 5 other of the 11 month-end close automation tools in this directory.

A credible choice that wins on a specific fit rather than across the board — a price point, a niche, a workflow, or an integration the top picks do not cover as well.

Xenett is also sold into [practice management](https://node8.ai/accounting-tools/practice-management/) , where it appears alongside the tools it competes with there.
