The read

## What GoProposal does

Pricing consistency is the pitch here, and it is a narrower and more specific one than most of this category makes. GoProposal's core is a calculator that turns a firm's rate card into a fixed set of line items, so a proposal written by a junior and one written by the founding partner land on the same number for the same work. The proposal, the engagement letter and the client's signature run in one flow, and acceptance pushes a draft invoice into QuickBooks or Xero with account codes and tax codes already mapped from the ledger. Every tier carries unlimited clients, unlimited proposals is only reserved for the top tier, and the trial runs 30 days rather than the 14 that is standard elsewhere.

Read the price list as a total, because the headline understates it. Plans run $75, $120, $150 and $255 a month, excluding VAT, banded by proposals rather than clients, which is the right shape for a firm that signs a few large engagements and the wrong shape for one that reprices dozens of small clients a month. The two things a firm most likely wants are both extras: OverSuite, the engagement letter suite, adds £50 to £100 a month, and the AML module for KYC, risk assessments and PEP screening adds £39 to £89. A Standard plan with both is roughly double the advertised figure. Unlike Ignition or Anchor, GoProposal does not itself collect card or ACH details at signature and bill on a schedule, so there is no processing rate to compare; it hands a draft invoice to the ledger and the money is collected the way it always was.

The centre of gravity is the UK, and a US firm should be clear-eyed about that. Add-on prices are quoted in sterling, plan prices carry a VAT exclusion, and the blog through early 2026 is dominated by perpetual KYC, enhanced due diligence and PEP screening, which are UK and EU regulatory topics rather than US ones. The QuickBooks integration is real and documented, but there is no US tax software connection. Nothing on the vendor's own site names an owner, states a security certification, or identifies who drafts and maintains the OverSuite letter templates, which is the question that matters most for a firm relying on that language in a US professional liability context.

Compared with Ignition, GoProposal is the pricing-discipline tool rather than the cash-collection tool, and a firm choosing between them is really choosing whether it wants money movement inside the proposal system. Compared with Socket, the two overlap heavily and both are UK-first, with Socket cheaper and more modular and GoProposal more established.

The inherited tier was dated, and the evidence does not support it. The blog publishes weekly through March 2026, the add-on line has grown rather than stalled, the QuickBooks integration is documented and current, and pricing is published openly. That is an actively maintained product, so it moves to strong option. It is not a top pick for this directory because its compliance content, currency and integration depth all point at a firm on the other side of the Atlantic.

## What it costs and what it connects to

GoProposal starts at $75 per month (Solo $75 for 5 proposals and 1 user, Basic $120 for 10 proposals, Standard $150 for 50 proposals and 2 users, Premium $255 for unlimited proposals and 10 users, all excluding VAT; the OverSuite engagement letter module and the AML module are priced separately in GBP from £50 and £39 a month). Pricing is per firm, per month, banded by proposal volume. A free trial is available: 30 days.

We could not confirm a SOC 2 report for GoProposal from public sources. Ask the vendor directly before it touches client data — an absence here means unverified, not absent.

GoProposal connects to Xero and QuickBooks Online. Supporting more than one ledger matters for firms whose clients are split across them.

Our rating

## Why we rate GoProposal a Strong Option

GoProposal is rated Strong Option, alongside 2 other of the 9 proposals & engagement letters tools in this directory.

A credible choice that wins on a specific fit rather than across the board — a price point, a niche, a workflow, or an integration the top picks do not cover as well.
