What LinkedIn does
The official LinkedIn app answers questions about a named person by returning a short profile summary: job title, employer, where the person is based, and how many followers the account has.
Each result links out to the full profile on LinkedIn, which is where connection requests and other account actions happen. Inside ChatGPT the app is a lookup surface only.
The examples in the listing are all preparation: checking who someone is before a meeting, working out which of several people with the same first name is the one under discussion, or reading up on an interviewer.
