Product catalogue, inventory and bills of materials in Foundry IMS
Overview
Foundry IMS is a catalogue and inventory platform serving many tenants at once. The connector covers administration of that catalogue: creating and updating products and variants, pricing, SKUs and identifiers such as UPC, GTIN and MPN, brands and categories, variant images, bundles and custom fields. It also reaches the assembly side, getting and setting bills of materials, checking how many units can be built from stock on hand, running where-used lookups, and flattening sub-assemblies into their component parts. Thirty-two tools are published. Actions are scoped to a selected organisation and constrained by the permissions an account already holds in Foundry. Community tier, with documentation available.

Thirty-two tools are claimed and the endpoint will not enumerate them without a session, which is consistent with a per-tenant catalogue but leaves the read and write split unverified.
Availability
Foundry IMS is listed in the Claude connectors directory only. Foundry IMS has no app under the same domain in the ChatGPT directory; 392 of the 3,150 products here are on both marketplaces, and this is not one of them.
The MCP server behind a Claude connector is usually the same server a ChatGPT app would need, so the absence is a distribution decision rather than a technical one.
Claude listing
Foundry IMS publishes 32 tools to Claude, deeper than 82.4% of the 1,253 Claude-listed connectors.
The median Claude-listed connector filed under Commerce & Shopping publishes 5, so this one runs 27 tools above its bucket's median and ranks 4th of 35 by tool count.
It falls in the 21-50 tools band, which holds 20% of the Claude directory.
Foundry IMS publishes a remote MCP endpoint. Claude connects to it over HTTP; there is nothing to install locally.
Every connector in the Claude directory is remote, all 1,253 of them, so transport is not a differentiator there.
https://mcp.foundryims.com/mcp Foundry IMS is community-listed in the Claude directory, the tier 770 of 1,253 connectors sit in (61.5%). It is the default for a self-published server, and says nothing either way about quality.
In the publisher's words
Foundry IMS is a multi-tenant inventory and product catalog platform. This connector lets you administer your Foundry catalog directly from Claude: create and update products and variants; manage pricing, SKUs, and identifiers (UPC/GTIN/MPN); organize brands and categories; add, reorder, and remove variant images; manage product bundles and custom fields; and build and inspect assemblies through their bill of materials — get and set BOMs, check how many units can be built from on-hand stock, run reverse "where-used" lookups, and flatten sub-assemblies into their component parts. Every action is scoped to your selected organization and gated by your Foundry permissions, so the connector can only read or change data you already have access to.

This is an independent catalogue entry compiled by Node8 from Foundry IMS's public marketplace listing as it stood in August 2026. Listing facts come from the marketplaces; the comparisons against the rest of the directory and any live-endpoint measurements are Node8's. Node8 is not affiliated with Foundry IMS, and inclusion here is not an endorsement.
Node8 builds MCP servers end to end: deciding which tools are worth exposing, the authentication and permission model, the review submissions, and the onboarding that gets them used. One server serves ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot.
