Media library management and transformation through natural language
Overview
The app links a Cloudinary account to Codex so the media library can be operated by conversation. Assets arrive from a URL, a local file, or base64 data, and can be tagged, moderated, or analyzed on the way in.
Search and organization are covered: filters and text queries across tags, format, date and size, plus folder creation, renaming, metadata edits, and removal of assets no longer needed. Visual search locates similar images from an uploaded example or a written description.
Transformation uses Cloudinary's own syntax for resizing, cropping, watermarking, filtering, and delivery optimization. Other functions include archive generation, backups, restoring an earlier version, AI analysis (face detection, text extraction, color palettes, accessibility scores), and tracking of storage, bandwidth, and transformation credits.

Asset editing and account usage figures sit behind the same interface, so library changes and credit tracking happen in one place.
Availability
Cloudinary ships this on both marketplaces: Cloudinary is listed in the Claude connectors directory and in the ChatGPT apps directory, under the same publisher domain.
Only 392 of the 3,150 products in this directory are listed in both marketplaces. One MCP server can serve both surfaces; what differs is each platform's listing and review process.

Claude listing
Cloudinary publishes 22 tools to Claude, deeper than 72.2% of the 1,253 Claude-listed connectors.
The median Claude-listed connector filed under Data & Analytics publishes 12, so this one runs 10 tools above its bucket's median and ranks 42nd of 198 by tool count.
It falls in the 21-50 tools band, which holds 20% of the Claude directory.
Cloudinary publishes a remote MCP endpoint. Claude connects to it over HTTP; there is nothing to install locally.
Every connector in the Claude directory is remote, all 1,253 of them, so transport is not a differentiator there.
https://asset-management.mcp.cloudinary.com/sse Cloudinary carries partner verification in the Claude directory, which 474 of 1,253 listings do (37.8%). That is a review step past self-publishing, not an Anthropic-built server.
In the publisher's words
The Cloudinary MCP servers enable you to upload, manage, transform, and analyze your media assets.

This is an independent catalogue entry compiled by Node8 from Cloudinary's public marketplace listings as they stood in August 2026. Listing facts come from the marketplaces; the comparisons against the rest of the directory and any live-endpoint measurements are Node8's. Node8 is not affiliated with Cloudinary, and inclusion here is not an endorsement.
Node8 builds MCP servers end to end: deciding which tools are worth exposing, the authentication and permission model, the review submissions, and the onboarding that gets them used. One server serves ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot.
