Overview

## What Render does

Render's app covers the platform's main operational surfaces from chat. Services, deployments, logs, and metrics can be inspected, and new services and data stores created from the same place.

Database work is included. Render Postgres can be queried directly, which puts data checks next to infrastructure checks instead of in a separate client. Deployments can be triggered on demand, and environment variables read and changed.

The sample prompts describe the sort of task involved: deploying an application along with whatever configuration it needs, working out why a build keeps failing, and reviewing a service's logs together with its resource usage. A single skill, named render, accompanies the app.

### Who it is for

Teams hosting services on Render who handle deploys, configuration, and debugging themselves.

### What stands out

Querying the managed Postgres instance sits in the same app as the deploy and log tooling.

## Where Render is listed

Render ships this on both marketplaces: Render is listed in the Claude connectors directory and in the ChatGPT apps directory, under the same publisher domain.

Only 392 of the 3,150 products in this directory are listed in both marketplaces. One MCP server can serve both surfaces; what differs is each platform's listing and review process.

Claude listing

## In the Claude connectors directory

Render publishes 25 tools to Claude, deeper than 76.7% of the 1,253 Claude-listed connectors.

The median Claude-listed connector filed under Developer Tools publishes 13, so this one runs 12 tools above its bucket's median and ranks 27th of 95 by tool count.

It falls in the 21-50 tools band, which holds 20% of the Claude directory.

Render publishes a remote MCP endpoint. Claude connects to it over HTTP; there is nothing to install locally.

Every connector in the Claude directory is remote, all 1,253 of them, so transport is not a differentiator there.

## How Render describes it

> Render's official MCP server lets AI apps and agents manage your Render infrastructure through natural language. Create and deploy web services, static sites, and cron jobs; provision Render Postgres and Key Value instances; trigger and inspect deploys; update environment variables and compute plans; stream logs; analyze performance metrics; and run read-only SQL against your Postgres — all scoped to a workspace you choose. Hosted by Render at https://mcp.render.com/mcp, it connects over OAuth (or a Render API key) and is designed to keep secrets like connection strings out of your AI app's context.

Quoted from the connector's own Claude directory listing as captured in August 2026. Node8 did not write it and does not vouch for it.

This is an independent catalogue entry compiled by Node8 from Render's public marketplace listings as they stood in August 2026. Listing facts come from the marketplaces; the comparisons against the rest of the directory and any live-endpoint measurements are Node8's. Node8 is not affiliated with Render, and inclusion here is not an endorsement.
