What sits behind it runs from open courses and professional certificate programmes through executive education to full master's, doctoral, and undergraduate degrees. Providers include universities and companies, among them Harvard, Cambridge, Microsoft, and IBM.
edX was founded by Harvard and MIT. The app is published by 2U, LLC, and study takes place on the edX platform itself.
