Who it is for
Someone who wants a decision made for them within a genre and era they already like.
Overview
MovieFind searches film and television titles, with optional filters for genre and a range of release years. Results come back with posters, and any entry opens into a full record covering plot, cast, rating, and runtime.
The other mode is random selection. The same filters still apply, and the pick can be limited to films, limited to television, or drawn from both. Leaving the filters off turns that mode into a pick from everything indexed.
Maxim Dubovitsky lists search and random picking as the whole of it. Watchlists, rating history, and streaming availability are not described in the entry.
Someone who wants a decision made for them within a genre and era they already like.
Random mode respects the same genre and year filters as a deliberate search.
Availability
MovieFind is listed in the ChatGPT apps directory only. Maxim Dubovitsky has no connector under the same domain in the Claude directory; 392 of the 3,150 products here are on both marketplaces, and this is not one of them.
ChatGPT apps are built on MCP, and the same server can back a Claude connector, so the absence is a distribution decision rather than a technical one.

This is an independent catalogue entry compiled by Node8 from MovieFind's public marketplace listing as it stood in August 2026. Listing facts come from the marketplaces; the comparisons against the rest of the directory and any live-endpoint measurements are Node8's. Node8 is not affiliated with Maxim Dubovitsky, and inclusion here is not an endorsement.
Node8 builds MCP servers end to end: deciding which tools are worth exposing, the authentication and permission model, the review submissions, and the onboarding that gets them used. One server serves ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot.
