CoinGecko reports current cryptocurrency prices along with charts, market capitalisation, and trading volume. Assets named in the listing include Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, BNB, and Hyperliquid, with coverage extending well past those.
The discovery side surfaces coins trending on the day and the largest movers in each direction. Several assets can be requested at once and returned as a comparison table, which is how the developer's example prompts are written: sometimes a list of six tickers, sometimes just two set against each other.
The app reports market data. It does not describe wallet connections, portfolio tracking, or any trading function.
