What Interactive Brokers (IBKR) does
Interactive Brokers links a brokerage account to ChatGPT for account review and market data. Positions, cash balances, profit and loss, allocation breakdowns, and working orders can all be queried, along with live quotes and price history.
Trading is deliberately partial. A phrased instruction, such as buying a set number of shares at a limit price, becomes a draft order that lands in the IBKR account, where the account holder reviews and approves it. Nothing is routed to the market from the chat itself.
IBKR notes that tickers appearing in examples or discussion are illustrative and not recommendations, and states SIPC membership.
