Ledgy keeps a personal ledger inside ChatGPT. Expenses can be entered by speaking, by sending a photo of a receipt, or by typing, and the app sorts each entry into a category.

Budgets can be set per category or per period, with checks that flag when spending drifts. Recurring income and outgoings are covered too, so a coming month or quarter can be projected rather than only reviewed afterwards. Questions such as whether dining has run high, or what a realistic savings figure looks like for a future quarter, are answered from the logged data rather than from general rules of thumb.
