Mercury

Read-only access to Mercury banking account data

Listed in ChatGPT and Claude · 5 published tools · Verified partner

Overview

What Mercury does

Mercury connects a business banking account to ChatGPT so its figures can be questioned in plain language. Software spending over a past quarter, or a chart of burn across recent months, comes back from the account itself rather than from an exported spreadsheet or a dashboard view.

Balances, statements, individual transactions, cards, and recipients are all readable, across checking, credit, and treasury accounts.

Setup runs through OAuth in a single step, and the connection is read only by design. Nothing can be paid or moved from the chat: the app answers questions about the account and stops there.

Who it is for

Founders and finance staff at companies that already bank with Mercury.

What stands out

The read-only design means account questions get answered with no ability to move money.

Where Mercury is listed

Mercury ships this on both marketplaces: Mercury is listed in the Claude connectors directory and in the ChatGPT apps directory, under the same publisher domain.

Only 392 of the 3,150 products in this directory are listed in both marketplaces. One MCP server can serve both surfaces; what differs is each platform's listing and review process.

Claude listing

In the Claude connectors directory

Mercury publishes 5 tools to Claude, a deliberately narrow surface; only 22.3% of the 1,253 Claude-listed connectors expose fewer.

The median Claude-listed connector filed under Finance publishes 12, so this one sits 7 tools below its bucket's median, 133rd of 159.

It falls in the 4-6 tools band, which holds 16.2% of the Claude directory.

Mercury publishes a remote MCP endpoint. Claude connects to it over HTTP; there is nothing to install locally.

Every connector in the Claude directory is remote, all 1,253 of them, so transport is not a differentiator there.

This is an independent catalogue entry compiled by Node8 from Mercury's public marketplace listings as they stood in August 2026. Listing facts come from the marketplaces; the comparisons against the rest of the directory and any live-endpoint measurements are Node8's. Node8 is not affiliated with Mercury, and inclusion here is not an endorsement.
