Who it is for
Anyone converting prices or checking a rate mid-conversation.
Live currency conversion and exchange rate lookup
Overview
The Xe app answers currency questions: converting an amount from one currency into another, checking a live rate, or comparing what two currencies are worth. Each reply gives the converted figure together with the current mid-market rate.
Input is loosely structured. Requests work with or without an amount attached, and currencies can be written as three-letter codes in any capitalization or spelled out by name, so a rupee figure asked for in dollars and a request for the GBP to JPY rate are handled the same way.
Anyone converting prices or checking a rate mid-conversation.
It reads loosely worded requests, including ones with no amount given or with currency names in place of codes.

XE Currency Converter is listed in the ChatGPT apps directory only. Xe Corporation has no connector under the same domain in the Claude directory; 392 of the 3,150 products here are on both marketplaces, and this is not one of them.
ChatGPT apps are built on MCP, and the same server can back a Claude connector, so the absence is a distribution decision rather than a technical one.

This is an independent catalogue entry compiled by Node8 from XE Currency Converter's public marketplace listing as it stood in August 2026. Listing facts come from the marketplaces; the comparisons against the rest of the directory and any live-endpoint measurements are Node8's. Node8 is not affiliated with Xe Corporation, and inclusion here is not an endorsement.
Node8 builds MCP servers end to end: deciding which tools are worth exposing, the authentication and permission model, the review submissions, and the onboarding that gets them used. One server serves ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot.
