Literature search and structured reports across papers
Overview
Elicit exposes a corpus of more than 125 million academic papers through an MCP server, which means an assistant can query it directly instead of a person working through a search interface.
Three operations are available: finding papers from a question written in ordinary language, generating a structured report that extracts specific data points across a set of studies and synthesises them, and retrieving the detailed results of a report once it has run.
The design target is life sciences research and development, from early target discovery through to systematic assessment of evidence, where the volume of published work makes manual review slow. Elicit, Inc. publishes the server.

Structured reports extract the same fields across many papers, which puts it closer to data collection than to a reading list.
Availability
Elicit, inc. ships this on both marketplaces: Elicit is listed in the Claude connectors directory and in the ChatGPT apps directory, under the same publisher domain.
Only 392 of the 3,150 products in this directory are listed in both marketplaces. One MCP server can serve both surfaces; what differs is each platform's listing and review process.

Claude listing
Elicit publishes 5 tools to Claude, a deliberately narrow surface; only 22.3% of the 1,253 Claude-listed connectors expose fewer.
The median Claude-listed connector filed under Healthcare & Life Sciences publishes 6, so this one sits one tool below its bucket's median, 30th of 51.
It falls in the 4-6 tools band, which holds 16.2% of the Claude directory.
Elicit publishes a remote MCP endpoint. Claude connects to it over HTTP; there is nothing to install locally.
Every connector in the Claude directory is remote, all 1,253 of them, so transport is not a differentiator there.
https://elicit.com/api/mcp Elicit carries partner verification in the Claude directory, which 474 of 1,253 listings do (37.8%). That is a review step past self-publishing, not an Anthropic-built server.
In the publisher's words
Access a corpus of over 125 million academic papers. Search for relevant literature using natural language queries, create structured reports that extract and synthesize data across papers, and retrieve detailed report results — all programmatically. Built for life sciences R&D workflows, the server enables agents to rapidly survey evidence, compare findings across studies, and surface key data points without manual literature review, accelerating everything from target discovery to systematic evidence assessment.

This is an independent catalogue entry compiled by Node8 from Elicit's public marketplace listings as they stood in August 2026. Listing facts come from the marketplaces; the comparisons against the rest of the directory and any live-endpoint measurements are Node8's. Node8 is not affiliated with Elicit, inc., and inclusion here is not an endorsement.
Node8 builds MCP servers end to end: deciding which tools are worth exposing, the authentication and permission model, the review submissions, and the onboarding that gets them used. One server serves ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot.
