Who it is for
Cooks who collect recipes and want the ones found in chat waiting in an app later.
Web recipe search with a saved personal collection
Overview
SaltyBytes looks for recipes that have actually been published somewhere and pulls them into the conversation. A request can be quite specific, a gluten-free birthday cake or a salmon dinner that takes half an hour, and what returns is the full thing: ingredients, method and timings, enough to judge a recipe before committing to it.
A recipe link pasted in gets stripped down to the recipe itself. Anything worth keeping can be saved to a personal SaltyBytes collection, which syncs with the mobile app, and recipes saved earlier can be searched from the chat as well.
The connection is scoped to that one collection, can be revoked at any point, and needs a free SaltyBytes account.
Cooks who collect recipes and want the ones found in chat waiting in an app later.
It writes to a personal recipe collection rather than only returning search results.
Availability
SaltyBytes is listed in the ChatGPT apps directory only. Julian DiCesare has no connector under the same domain in the Claude directory; 392 of the 3,150 products here are on both marketplaces, and this is not one of them.
ChatGPT apps are built on MCP, and the same server can back a Claude connector, so the absence is a distribution decision rather than a technical one.

This is an independent catalogue entry compiled by Node8 from SaltyBytes's public marketplace listing as it stood in August 2026. Listing facts come from the marketplaces; the comparisons against the rest of the directory and any live-endpoint measurements are Node8's. Node8 is not affiliated with Julian DiCesare, and inclusion here is not an endorsement.
Node8 builds MCP servers end to end: deciding which tools are worth exposing, the authentication and permission model, the review submissions, and the onboarding that gets them used. One server serves ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot.
