What WunderCineMate does
WunderCineMate is a front end for The Movie Database. Without signing in it handles public lookups: trending titles, the cast of a given film, and general search across the catalogue.
Signing in changes what is possible. With a linked TMDB account, ratings and watchlists become editable from the conversation, so a film found in one exchange can be saved for later. Registration happens on themoviedb.org first, since the app keeps no account system of its own.
The split between the two modes is worth knowing in advance: browsing works immediately, while anything that writes to a personal list depends on an external account.
