What ConvertAPI does
ConvertAPI handles file work inside the conversation across more than 500 formats. A file goes up, an instruction describes what should happen to it, and the finished version comes back ready to download.
Conversion runs between PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, image, HTML, ebook, and email formats, including scans into searchable text and web pages into PDF. Editing covers merging, splitting by page or bookmark, rotation, page deletion, watermarks, and repair of damaged documents. Other operations compress files, apply passwords, redact sensitive content with AI, and produce PDF/A output for archiving.
Extraction covers text and tables, images, form data, and the attachments carried on emails. New DOCX or PDF files can be generated from templates and data, documents compared against each other, or several files bundled into a password-protected ZIP. The underlying platform dates to 2013.
