Calendar reads, scheduling and invitation responses in Google Calendar
Overview
The Google Calendar connector covers viewing a schedule, checking availability across one or more calendars, creating and updating events, responding to invitations, and reading attendee details before a meeting. Finding a mutual free slot across several people is handled by the server rather than by fetching every calendar and comparing them in the conversation.
The connector is published by Google and carries partner tier. A Google account authorisation is required, after which the reachable set matches the calendars that account can already see. Eight tools are claimed; the endpoint returned nine.
Anyone whose working calendar is in Google Calendar.
Nine observed tools against eight claimed, and the split is close to even: list_events, get_event, list_calendars, search_events and suggest_time read, while create_event, update_event, delete_event and respond_to_event write.
Availability
Google Calendar is listed in the Claude connectors directory only. Google has no app under the same domain in the ChatGPT directory; 392 of the 3,150 products here are on both marketplaces, and this is not one of them.
The MCP server behind a Claude connector is usually the same server a ChatGPT app would need, so the absence is a distribution decision rather than a technical one.
Claude listing
Google Calendar publishes 8 tools to Claude. That is a mid-sized surface: 37.7% of the 1,253 Claude-listed connectors expose fewer.

Every connector in the Claude directory is remote, all 1,253 of them, so transport is not a differentiator there.

In the publisher's words
Connect Google Calendar to Claude to view your schedule, manage events, and coordinate meetings. Claude can search your calendar for events, check your availability, find free time slots, create and update events, respond to invitations, and help you prepare for meetings. Useful for understanding what's coming up, scheduling new meetings by finding mutual availability, managing your calendar by creating or updating events, coordinating schedules across multiple people, or preparing for meetings by reviewing attendee lists and details.
Quoted from the connector's own Claude directory listing as captured in August 2026. Node8 did not write it and does not vouch for it.

This is an independent catalogue entry compiled by Node8 from Google Calendar's public marketplace listing as it stood in August 2026. Listing facts come from the marketplaces; the comparisons against the rest of the directory and any live-endpoint measurements are Node8's. Node8 is not affiliated with Google, and inclusion here is not an endorsement.
Node8 builds MCP servers end to end: deciding which tools are worth exposing, the authentication and permission model, the review submissions, and the onboarding that gets them used. One server serves ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot.
