What Smallpdf does
The Smallpdf app handles file conversion and size reduction inside ChatGPT. A large PDF can be compressed for an email attachment or a submission without losing quality, and a PDF can be turned into a Word document, with OCR available when the source is scanned and needs to become editable.
Conversion runs the other way as well: images, Word documents, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint files can all be turned into PDFs. Example requests in the listing include pulling every image out of a PDF.
Other Smallpdf functions, among them merging, signing, and editing, are not part of the app. Those are done on the Smallpdf website, where a file can be picked up after the conversation.
