Who it is for
Developers and IoT operators working with Soracom SIMs, APIs, and console workflows who want answers sourced from the vendor documentation.
Documentation search for Soracom IoT services
Overview
Soracom Knowledge gives ChatGPT a way to look things up in the official Soracom documentation rather than answering from model memory alone. Questions can cover service guides, console procedures, price information, IoT recipes, API reference material, CLI commands, and SAM permission settings.
The endpoint is hosted by Soracom itself and shared across users. It is read-only: it searches and returns documentation text, and it cannot alter anything in a Soracom account or the resources attached to it.
Typical requests include how to register an IoT SIM, which API call lists subscribers and what permission that call needs, or which guide covers vehicle tracking hardware and its setup steps.

It is a vendor-hosted, read-only documentation endpoint, so it adds lookup ability without any write access to account resources.
Availability
SORACOM, INC. ships this on both marketplaces: Soracom Knowledge is listed in the Claude connectors directory and in the ChatGPT apps directory, under the same publisher domain.
Only 392 of the 3,150 products in this directory are listed in both marketplaces. One MCP server can serve both surfaces; what differs is each platform's listing and review process.

Claude listing
Soracom Knowledge publishes 3 tools to Claude, a deliberately narrow surface; only 11.3% of the 1,253 Claude-listed connectors expose fewer.
The median Claude-listed connector filed under Productivity publishes 12, so this one sits 9 tools below its bucket's median, 379th of 462.
It falls in the 1-3 tools band, which holds 16.4% of the Claude directory.
A direct call to the endpoint returned 3 tools, matching the 3 the listing publishes. Probed 2026-08-07.
get_documentsearch_api_docssearch_soracom_docsSoracom Knowledge publishes a remote MCP endpoint. Claude connects to it over HTTP; there is nothing to install locally.
Every connector in the Claude directory is remote, all 1,253 of them, so transport is not a differentiator there.
https://knowledge-mcp.soracom.com/ Soracom Knowledge is community-listed in the Claude directory, the tier 770 of 1,253 connectors sit in (61.5%). It is the default for a self-published server, and says nothing either way about quality.
In the publisher's words
Search Soracom documentation and API references. Look up service guides, Soracom User Console procedures, pricing, IoT recipes, API references, CLI commands, and SAM permissions on demand, and ground answers in the official documentation instead of relying only on training data. The server is hosted by Soracom as a shared, read-only endpoint—it only searches and reads documentation and does not modify any of your Soracom resources.

This is an independent catalogue entry compiled by Node8 from Soracom Knowledge's public marketplace listings as they stood in August 2026. Listing facts come from the marketplaces; the comparisons against the rest of the directory and any live-endpoint measurements are Node8's. Node8 is not affiliated with SORACOM, INC., and inclusion here is not an endorsement.
Node8 builds MCP servers end to end: deciding which tools are worth exposing, the authentication and permission model, the review submissions, and the onboarding that gets them used. One server serves ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot.
