Meow Map indexes places to stay where guests have reported an actual cat living on the premises: hotels, ryokans, guesthouses and cat cafés. Entries come from guest reviews that mention the animal, not from properties describing themselves as pet friendly.
Search works by city name or by coordinates. A result gives the cat's name where it is recorded, a summary of what reviewers said about it, and how old the underlying information is, which matters for a detail that changes over time.
