Who it is for
Commodity traders, shipping analysts, and researchers with a Kpler subscription.
Overview
Kpler sells market intelligence on shipping and physical commodities, and this app puts that dataset behind questions asked in plain language. Vessel movements from AIS, port calls, and voyage routes sit on one side; trade flows, supply and demand balances, refinery throughput and margins on the other.
LNG gets particular attention, with terminal capacity, stock levels, utilization, and outages all queryable. Freight coverage runs to fixtures and port congestion, there is screening for sanctions exposure and vessel compliance, and Kpler's own written commentary is reachable in the same place.
Each tool is a read query against an authenticated Kpler account. Nothing can be created, edited, or deleted through the app.

The read only design is explicit: it answers analytical questions and has no ability to write anything back.
Availability
Kpler ships this on both marketplaces: Kpler is listed in the Claude connectors directory and in the ChatGPT apps directory, under the same publisher domain.
Only 392 of the 3,150 products in this directory are listed in both marketplaces. One MCP server can serve both surfaces; what differs is each platform's listing and review process.

Claude listing
Kpler publishes 55 tools to Claude, a deeper surface than 91.9% of the 1,253 Claude-listed connectors, the top decile.
The median Claude-listed connector filed under Data & Analytics publishes 12, so this one runs 43 tools above its bucket's median and ranks 12th of 198 by tool count.
It falls in the 51+ tools band, which holds 9.6% of the Claude directory.
Kpler publishes a remote MCP endpoint. Claude connects to it over HTTP; there is nothing to install locally.
Every connector in the Claude directory is remote, all 1,253 of them, so transport is not a differentiator there.
https://claude.mcp.kpler.com/v1/mcp/ Kpler carries partner verification in the Claude directory, which 474 of 1,253 listings do (37.8%). That is a review step past self-publishing, not an Anthropic-built server.
In the publisher's words
The Kpler MCP connector gives Claude read-only access to Kpler's maritime and commodities intelligence — analyst-verified trade flows, AIS vessel tracking, port calls, refinery operations, freight markets, compliance risk, and supply/demand balances. Ask questions in plain English instead of writing API calls or SQL. Built for the analysts, traders, compliance officers, and operators who already use Kpler day-to-day. All operations are read-only; the connector cannot modify any data in Kpler's systems.
Quoted from the connector's own Claude directory listing as captured in August 2026. Node8 did not write it and does not vouch for it.

This is an independent catalogue entry compiled by Node8 from Kpler's public marketplace listings as they stood in August 2026. Listing facts come from the marketplaces; the comparisons against the rest of the directory and any live-endpoint measurements are Node8's. Node8 is not affiliated with Kpler, and inclusion here is not an endorsement.
Node8 builds MCP servers end to end: deciding which tools are worth exposing, the authentication and permission model, the review submissions, and the onboarding that gets them used. One server serves ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot.
