Planning applications, model nodes and scenarios from Pyplan
Overview
Pyplan hosts planning and analytics applications built for finance, sales, operations and HR. The connector lists the applications a user can reach across personal, public and team workspaces, opens a specific one, reads results from its model nodes such as tables, cubes and KPIs, executes the tools an app author exposed including profit and loss generation, balance sheet views, cash flow, what-if simulations and forecast updates, and saves new application versions so scenario work is preserved next to the baseline. A domain skill loader supplies context for each Pyplan area before the connector acts. OAuth against the tenant carries existing role, team and department permissions through unchanged.

Nine tools carry app discovery, node reads, author-defined execution and version saving between them, so each covers more than one action, and the endpoint will not confirm the names without a tenant login.
Availability
Pyplan is listed in the Claude connectors directory only. Pyplan has no app under the same domain in the ChatGPT directory; 392 of the 3,150 products here are on both marketplaces, and this is not one of them.
The MCP server behind a Claude connector is usually the same server a ChatGPT app would need, so the absence is a distribution decision rather than a technical one.
Claude listing
Pyplan publishes 9 tools to Claude. That is a mid-sized surface: 41.3% of the 1,253 Claude-listed connectors expose fewer.
The median Claude-listed connector filed under Data & Analytics publishes 12, so this one sits 3 tools below its bucket's median, 115th of 198.
It falls in the 7-10 tools band, which holds 14.6% of the Claude directory.
Pyplan publishes a remote MCP endpoint. Claude connects to it over HTTP; there is nothing to install locally.
Every connector in the Claude directory is remote, all 1,253 of them, so transport is not a differentiator there.
https://dev.pyplan.com/ai/mcp Pyplan is community-listed in the Claude directory, the tier 770 of 1,253 connectors sit in (61.5%). It is the default for a self-published server, and says nothing either way about quality.
In the publisher's words
Pyplan is a platform for building and running Planning & Analytics applications across Finance, Sales, Operations, and HR. This connector lets Claude work directly with your Pyplan workspace: list the applications you have access to, open a specific app, read results from its model nodes (tables, cubes, KPIs), run the tools exposed inside the app to execute simulations and scenarios, and manage app versions. Authentication uses OAuth against your Pyplan tenant, so Claude only sees the apps, companies, and departments your user is already permitted to access — all role, team, and department-level permissions configured in Pyplan are respected. Key features: discovery and opening of Pyplan applications across your workspaces (My Apps, Public Apps, Team apps); execution of any tool exposed by an app's author (P&L generation, balance sheet and cash flow views, what-if simulations, forecast updates, etc.); structured retrieval of node results for analysis and visualization in chat; creation and saving of new application versions so scenario work is preserved alongside the baseline; and a domain-skill loader that gives Claude the right context for each Pyplan area before it acts.

This is an independent catalogue entry compiled by Node8 from Pyplan's public marketplace listing as it stood in August 2026. Listing facts come from the marketplaces; the comparisons against the rest of the directory and any live-endpoint measurements are Node8's. Node8 is not affiliated with Pyplan, and inclusion here is not an endorsement.
Node8 builds MCP servers end to end: deciding which tools are worth exposing, the authentication and permission model, the review submissions, and the onboarding that gets them used. One server serves ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot.
