What Lightrun does
Lightrun adds temporary instrumentation to applications that are already running, with no code change, rebuild, or redeploy. The connector describes bringing that into a conversation: discovering connected agents, agent pools, and tags, capturing expression values and call stacks at a chosen code location, counting how often a line executes, measuring duration between two lines, sampling custom numeric metrics, and reading raw measurement samples for closer analysis.
Runtime data stays subject to the organisation's redaction and permission rules. Authentication is either OAuth for interactive sessions or a bearer API key with developer scope for automation. Fourteen tools are published, and the prerequisites are a Lightrun server, MCP access enabled for the organisation, and agents attached to the target applications.
