Who it is for
K-12 teachers and curriculum designers who write against state standards codes.
AI Connectors · Education & Research
Align content to K-12 standards across US states
Overview
Learning Commons opens academic standards from all fifty states to ChatGPT and breaks each standard into smaller learning components. Those components can be traced as progressions, showing what a student is expected to master before reaching a given standard.
With that structure in hand, instructional material generated in the chat can be tied to a named standard rather than to a subject in general. The listing describes output shaped by learning science and established classroom practice.
Example requests are specific to a state and a code: project ideas for Utah standard 3.W.1, a short formative assessment for California standard 3.MD.C.7, or the prerequisite skills for North Carolina standard NC.6.RP.1.

Standards are decomposed into component skills and prerequisite chains rather than quoted as flat text.
Availability
Learning Commons ships this on both marketplaces: Learning Commons is listed in the Claude connectors directory and in the ChatGPT apps directory, under the same publisher domain.
Only 392 of the 3,150 products in this directory are listed in both marketplaces. One MCP server can serve both surfaces; what differs is each platform's listing and review process.

Claude listing
Learning Commons publishes 3 tools to Claude, a deliberately narrow surface; only 11.3% of the 1,253 Claude-listed connectors expose fewer.
The median Claude-listed connector filed under Education & Research publishes 4, so this one sits one tool below its bucket's median, 8th of 14.
It falls in the 1-3 tools band, which holds 16.4% of the Claude directory.
Learning Commons publishes a remote MCP endpoint. Claude connects to it over HTTP; there is nothing to install locally.
Every connector in the Claude directory is remote, all 1,253 of them, so transport is not a differentiator there.
https://kg.mcp.learningcommons.org/mcp Learning Commons carries partner verification in the Claude directory, which 474 of 1,253 listings do (37.8%). That is a review step past self-publishing, not an Anthropic-built server.
In the publisher's words
Connect Learning Commons to Claude to align with all 50 states’ academic standards, break them into granular learning components, and trace learning progressions. Generate more precise, standards-aligned instructional content that supports coherent learning and reflects educational best practices and learning science.

This is an independent catalogue entry compiled by Node8 from Learning Commons's public marketplace listings as they stood in August 2026. Listing facts come from the marketplaces; the comparisons against the rest of the directory and any live-endpoint measurements are Node8's. Node8 is not affiliated with Learning Commons, and inclusion here is not an endorsement.
Node8 builds MCP servers end to end: deciding which tools are worth exposing, the authentication and permission model, the review submissions, and the onboarding that gets them used. One server serves ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot.
