Who it is for
Language learners who read or listen in the target language and want cards drawn from that material.
Overview
Lingard Vocab builds language study cards around material a learner already cares about: books, articles, podcasts, film and television plots, travel, work topics, and ordinary daily situations. The premise is that words stick better in context than in disconnected decks.
Cards saved to a Lingard library carry part of speech, translations, pronunciation, synonyms, grammar notes, example sentences with the target word marked, and details particular to a language, such as the article that belongs with a German noun. Study then continues in Lingard itself with instant lookup, audio, contextual translation, spaced repetition, progress tracking, and sync between devices.
The connection uses scoped OAuth, and the vocabulary list is read or changed only on request.

Saved cards carry language specific grammar detail, such as German noun gender, next to the usual translation fields.
Availability
Lingard is listed in the ChatGPT apps directory only. Lingard has no connector under the same domain in the Claude directory; 392 of the 3,150 products here are on both marketplaces, and this is not one of them.
ChatGPT apps are built on MCP, and the same server can back a Claude connector, so the absence is a distribution decision rather than a technical one.

This is an independent catalogue entry compiled by Node8 from Lingard's public marketplace listing as it stood in August 2026. Listing facts come from the marketplaces; the comparisons against the rest of the directory and any live-endpoint measurements are Node8's. Node8 is not affiliated with Lingard, and inclusion here is not an endorsement.
Node8 builds MCP servers end to end: deciding which tools are worth exposing, the authentication and permission model, the review submissions, and the onboarding that gets them used. One server serves ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot.
