Who it is for
A developer wiring up Stripe, or an operator checking invoices and subscriptions on a live account.
Create payment links and manage Stripe billing objects
Overview
The Stripe app puts account operations and integration work in the same conversation. Products, prices, and payment links can be created directly, and existing objects are readable and editable: payments and refunds, subscriptions, invoices, disputes, and customer records.
The second half is for building. Stripe's documentation can be searched from the chat, and the app returns integration recommendations, which keeps reference lookups out of a separate browser tab.
Bundled skills extend it further, covering best practices, a directory, project handling, version upgrades, and Connect recommendations. Sample prompts are account queries: listing customers, listing products, and reading back the prices already configured.
A developer wiring up Stripe, or an operator checking invoices and subscriptions on a live account.
It reaches both live account data and the documentation, so building and running an integration happen in one place.
Availability
Stripe ships this on both marketplaces: Stripe is listed in the Claude connectors directory and in the ChatGPT apps directory, under the same publisher domain.
Only 392 of the 3,150 products in this directory are listed in both marketplaces. One MCP server can serve both surfaces; what differs is each platform's listing and review process.
ChatGPT listing
Stripe declares 5 named skills, which puts it in the 6.7% of ChatGPT-listed apps that do.
Claude listing
Stripe publishes 23 tools to Claude, deeper than 74% of the 1,253 Claude-listed connectors.
The median Claude-listed connector filed under Finance publishes 12, so this one runs 11 tools above its bucket's median and ranks 40th of 159 by tool count.
It falls in the 21-50 tools band, which holds 20% of the Claude directory.
Stripe publishes a remote MCP endpoint. Claude connects to it over HTTP; there is nothing to install locally.
Every connector in the Claude directory is remote, all 1,253 of them, so transport is not a differentiator there.
https://mcp.stripe.com Stripe carries partner verification in the Claude directory, which 474 of 1,253 listings do (37.8%). That is a review step past self-publishing, not an Anthropic-built server.
In the publisher's words
The Stripe Model Context Protocol server defines a set of tools that AI agents can use to interact with the Stripe API and search its knowledge base (including documentation and support articles).

This is an independent catalogue entry compiled by Node8 from Stripe's public marketplace listings as they stood in August 2026. Listing facts come from the marketplaces; the comparisons against the rest of the directory and any live-endpoint measurements are Node8's. Node8 is not affiliated with Stripe, and inclusion here is not an endorsement.
Node8 builds MCP servers end to end: deciding which tools are worth exposing, the authentication and permission model, the review submissions, and the onboarding that gets them used. One server serves ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot.
