What Octopad does
Octopad is a back office that more than one AI tool can read from and write to. It holds three related things: the goals a team is working toward, the tasks attached to those goals, and the pages and decisions that explain the reasoning behind both.
Once connected, an assistant can create and track tasks against a goal, write into the page library and search it, and request a briefing scoped to the task at hand so the conversation opens with the relevant background already loaded. Work planned in chat is recorded in Octopad rather than left in the transcript.
