Remote Desktop Commander connects ChatGPT to a computer the user already controls, using Desktop Commander's remote MCP as the relay. Once the link is open, the chat can read the filesystem and drive the terminal on that machine.
The work available is what a shell gives: inspecting files, running commands, watching and managing processes, editing documents held locally, and automating steps in a development workflow.
