Unabyss

Portable personal context assembled from connected apps

Listed in ChatGPT and Claude · 17 published tools · Community-listed

Overview

What Unabyss does

Unabyss collects the background facts about a person that AI tools otherwise have to be told again in every session. It connects to sources already in use, among them LinkedIn, Notion, Gmail, Slack, GitHub and a personal website, then extracts and structures what it finds into files covering persona, writing voice and company. The developer describes that initial extraction as taking under 90 seconds.

Those files belong to the account owner and refresh as the connected sources change. Permissions are granular, so a writing voice can be shared with a tool without professional detail travelling alongside it. One click exports cover recurring documents such as investor updates, bios, meeting prep and ideal customer profiles.

The listing also names skills for brand voice, daily briefs, decision logs, customer pulse and investor outreach.

Who it is for

Founders and operators who work across several AI tools and keep restating the same background in each one.

What stands out

Context is assembled from existing accounts and kept current automatically rather than typed in and maintained by hand.

Where Unabyss is listed

Unabyss ships this on both marketplaces: Unabyss is listed in the Claude connectors directory and in the ChatGPT apps directory, under the same publisher domain.

Only 392 of the 3,150 products in this directory are listed in both marketplaces. One MCP server can serve both surfaces; what differs is each platform's listing and review process.

The median Claude-listed connector filed under Productivity publishes 12, so this one runs 5 tools above its bucket's median and ranks 180th of 462 by tool count.

It falls in the 11-20 tools band, which holds 22.5% of the Claude directory.

Unabyss publishes a remote MCP endpoint. Claude connects to it over HTTP; there is nothing to install locally.

Every connector in the Claude directory is remote, all 1,253 of them, so transport is not a differentiator there.

In the publisher's words

How Unabyss describes it

Unabyss is a user-owned context layer for AI tools. It connects to the sources where your context already lives — Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, Notion, Slack, GitHub, LinkedIn, X, Obsidian — and extracts a structured vault covering who you are, what you're working on, and how you communicate. With the connector enabled, Claude can pull that context at the start of any conversation instead of you re-explaining your role, company, stack, and preferences every time. What you can do: - Look up specific facts about yourself, your company, or past decisions, and ask synthesis questions across your entire context - Save durable facts, decisions, and preferences back to your vault as they come up in conversation - Load skills — ready-made playbooks for recurring work like daily briefs, investor updates, pre-call research, and content drafting - Generate topic-scoped Markdown exports to reuse in tools that don't support MCP - Connect new sources directly from chat, without leaving the conversation Your context stays yours. Permissions are granular per tool and per layer (Identity / Profile / Mind), connected sources keep context self-updating, and access can be revoked at any time. Unabyss is MCP-native and cross-platform, so the same vault works in Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, and any other MCP client.
