On the reading side, inbound mail can be listed, searched, and opened in full detail. On the sending side, new messages can be composed and inbound ones answered, with delivery going through an authenticated relay run by Primitive.
That combination makes it a mailbox an agent operates rather than a one-way notification channel, since a thread can be followed and continued from the same place it was read.
