Matter and contract data for in-house legal teams
Overview
LawVu combines the systems an in house legal department runs on: matters, contract lifecycle, legal spend, intake, documents, and an internal knowledge base. This app connects that platform to ChatGPT.
Retrieval is one half of it. Matters and contracts can be found by describing them, status summaries and reports generated, and answers grounded in the team's own knowledge base rather than general legal material. The other half is writing: new matters and intake requests can be opened, matter status changed, and tasks created.
Records are visible according to each person's own permissions in LawVu, and activity is logged to an audit trail. Data from other connected systems, a CRM or an HR platform for instance, can be combined with LawVu records in one analysis.

It creates and updates records rather than only reading them, with permission scoping and audit logging carried over from the platform.
Availability
LawVu Limited ships this on both marketplaces: LawVu is listed in the Claude connectors directory and in the ChatGPT apps directory, under the same publisher domain.
Only 392 of the 3,150 products in this directory are listed in both marketplaces. One MCP server can serve both surfaces; what differs is each platform's listing and review process.

Claude listing
LawVu publishes 51 tools to Claude, a deeper surface than 90.4% of the 1,253 Claude-listed connectors, the top decile.
The median Claude-listed connector filed under Legal publishes 11, so this one runs 40 tools above its bucket's median and ranks 3rd of 33 by tool count.
It falls in the 51+ tools band, which holds 9.6% of the Claude directory.
LawVu publishes a remote MCP endpoint. Claude connects to it over HTTP; there is nothing to install locally.
Every connector in the Claude directory is remote, all 1,253 of them, so transport is not a differentiator there.
https://mcp.lawvu.com/mcp LawVu is community-listed in the Claude directory, the tier 770 of 1,253 connectors sit in (61.5%). It is the default for a self-published server, and says nothing either way about quality.
In the publisher's words
LawVu is the legal operating system for in-house corporate legal teams, combining matter management, contract lifecycle management, spend, intake, documents, and a knowledge base in one unified platform. Connect Claude to the operational data your legal team relies on every day. Search and retrieve matters and contracts in natural language, generate status summaries and reports, retrieve answers grounded in your internal legal knowledge base, create new matters or intake requests, update matter status, and create tasks - all without leaving Claude. You can also combine LawVu data with information from other connected systems, like CRM or HR platforms, for cross-system reporting and analysis. Access is scoped to each user's own permissions and record access in LawVu and provides a full audit trail.

This is an independent catalogue entry compiled by Node8 from LawVu's public marketplace listings as they stood in August 2026. Listing facts come from the marketplaces; the comparisons against the rest of the directory and any live-endpoint measurements are Node8's. Node8 is not affiliated with LawVu Limited, and inclusion here is not an endorsement.
Node8 builds MCP servers end to end: deciding which tools are worth exposing, the authentication and permission model, the review submissions, and the onboarding that gets them used. One server serves ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot.
