The read

What myPay Solutions does

Outsourcing, not software, is the pitch. IRIS describes myPay Solutions as a fully managed payroll service, which means the firm does not process anything: IRIS calculates the payroll, files the federal, state and local returns, makes the payments, and takes on the tax liability that would otherwise sit with whoever pressed the button. Clients enter time through a secure portal with 24/7 access, money moves by direct deposit or printed check, and the firm gets reporting back in real time. The support model is a named payroll specialist per firm rather than a general queue, which is the thing bureau customers actually buy. IRIS puts the scale at more than 1,100 partner accounting firms and over 11,000 businesses processed, and pitches the whole thing to firms as being their payroll back office.

The program structure is what makes this relevant to a firm rather than to an employer. The Referring Accountant program pays revenue share across three tiers keyed to referral volume, with fees waived for participating firms, and IRIS frames the arrangement as the firm keeping full control of client interactions and the advisory relationship while IRIS runs the back office. That is a middle position between the two poles in this category. It is not a wholesale licence like Accounting CS Payroll or Payroll Relief, where the firm buys the engine, prices the service and keeps the whole fee. It is also not a bare referral to a competitor, because IRIS does not sell tax or advisory work into the client base the way a full-service payroll bureau's parent might.

What the vendor does not publish is the part a firm most needs. There are no prices, no revenue share percentages, no volume thresholds for the three tiers, and no explicit statement of who invoices the client, though a revenue share structure implies IRIS holds the billing relationship. No SOC report, penetration testing statement or security page is linked from the product page, which for a service handling client payroll data and tax deposits is a gap worth raising in the first call. There is no batch processing for the firm to use, because the firm is not the operator, and quality of output depends entirely on IRIS's staffing rather than on anything the firm can control. Firms that have been burned by a bureau's error rate will recognize that risk.

The tier moves from dated to strong option. The inherited label does not survive the evidence that is actually fetchable: a current and detailed product page, a defined multi-tier partner program, published scale figures, and active ownership since IRIS took the business on in October 2022. That is not a stalled product. It is not a top pick either, because the pricing, the revenue share economics and the security posture are all unpublished, and because a firm that wants payroll margin rather than payroll relief will do better with a licensed engine it operates itself.
