Overview
What CMS Coverage does
The CMS Coverage Database holds the policies that decide what Medicare Part B pays for: National Coverage Determinations set centrally and Local Coverage Determinations issued by regional contractors. This Anthropic built connector searches both, retrieves full documents by type and identifier, and looks up which Medicare Administrative Contractor covers a given area, since a local policy only binds within that contractor's jurisdiction. A recent changes report covers newly published or revised documents, and the Self-Administered Drug exclusion list identifies drugs that cannot be billed under Part B at all. CMS notes that some returned material is governed by third-party licence agreements, which connecting accepts.
