The read
What G-Accon does
Reporting in G-Accon starts inside a Google Sheet. The add-on connects one or many Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, FreshBooks or Xero Practice Manager organisations, drops a P&L, balance sheet, trial balance or transaction list into the tab, and then keeps it current on a schedule the firm sets: hourly, daily, weekly or monthly, with an alert when the figures move. Around a hundred report templates ship with it, several companies can be stacked into one consolidated sheet, and the sync runs in both directions, so bulk uploads of invoices, bank transactions and contacts go back up into the ledger from the same workbook.
Pricing is what makes it a firm tool rather than a business tool. The Accountant plan is $150 a month for twenty-five client companies and five users, Advisor is $300 for fifty, and extra companies are $10 each. Almost nothing else in this category prices by client file, and for a bookkeeping practice that publishes the same management pack across thirty clients every month, the arithmetic against a $99-per-file competitor is not close. The vendor is based in Novi, Michigan, publishes a SOC 2 Type II attestation through a Drata trust page, and holds Platinum Intuit and Premium Xero partner status.
Two limits are worth knowing before signing. It is Google Sheets only, so a firm whose workpapers and client deliverables are Excel files gets nothing from it, and there is no Excel path on the roadmap the site describes. Plans are also sold per ledger product: a firm that carries Xero clients and QuickBooks clients buys two subscriptions rather than one, which quietly doubles the headline price for a mixed book. Event-driven refresh, as opposed to the fixed schedule, sits behind a Plus add-on charging thirty percent on top of the base plan and billed annually. The consolidation is a stacking and mapping exercise across connected companies, not a group ledger with automated intercompany elimination, so a genuine multi-entity group is still better served by a consolidation platform.
LiveFlow is the obvious cross-shop and covers Excel as well as Sheets with a larger template library, but it no longer publishes a price and puts every buyer through a demo. Amalgam reaches further into NetSuite, QuickBooks Desktop and Dynamics and works in both spreadsheets, at $199 per user per month once more than one person needs it. Against both, G-Accon is the one whose cost is predictable as a book of clients grows.
The tier moved up from strong-option. The evidence is the per-company pricing that actually fits a 2-to-50-person firm, the SOC 2 Type II attestation, published refresh scheduling that competitors leave vague, and long-standing marketplace presence on both the Intuit and Xero app stores. It is the safest starting point in this category for a Google Sheets firm, and the wrong answer only for firms committed to Excel.
